The Jongerius GravL Rohloff Belt Drive is a new gravel bike model in the Jongerius collection. We designed this bike as the ultimate gravel bike for your cycling holiday or long-distance ride. But of course, thanks to the low-maintenance Rohloff hub and Gates belt drive, it's also suitable for weekend touring or your daily commute.

Customize this bike to your liking, in your favorite color and with the components you desire. After your bike is assembled, a single mechanic will assemble it completely to your specifications in our workshop in Vleuten.

Upon first seeing the bike, the unique frame immediately catches the eye. Because we developed this model entirely as a belt drive bike, we decided to eliminate the vulnerable removable block for mounting the belt drive and raise the chainstays. Thanks to the higher chainstays, the belt drive now runs underneath the chainstays, significantly improving the frame's stability.

Use it on the road or take a faster route

You can use this gravel bike with its comfortable riding position on the road, but it also feels right at home on gravel paths. Thanks to the belt drive, cleaning after your ride is much easier than with a derailleur system.

The lightweight 2.3-kilogram aluminum frame is smooth-welded and features numerous brazed-on mounting points, giving you plenty of room to attach racks, bottle cages, or bags. Thanks to these numerous mounting points, this frame is also ideal for your bikepacking adventure.

We've deliberately chosen to route all cables externally so that if a brake line or gear cable breaks during a long journey, you can easily replace it yourself. This also prevents cables from rattling inside the frame. The frame is ISO-4210 tested, so you can be sure it will remain in top condition even under heavy loads.

THE ULTIMATE GRAVEL BIKE

The starting point for developing this model was to create a low-maintenance gravel bike. This meant eliminating the maintenance of a derailleur system and allowing you to enjoy year-round riding with the Gates belt drive.

A derailleur system has many overlapping gears, meaning a 3x10-speed derailleur system often only has 15 different gears. A derailleur also requires a lot of maintenance in wet or winter conditions.

A Rohloff hub has a 526% range, which is equivalent to a 3x9 derailleur system. A 526% range means the highest gear is 5.26 times heavier than the lowest gear.

Jongerius also offers a choice of multiple gear ratios, giving you more choice between lighter (for hilly cycling) or heavier gears, depending on your needs.

Switching with sram shifters and gebla rohbox

With the Gebla Rohbox, we replace the standard Rohloff shifting unit on the hub, giving you the option of shifting with our specially modified Sram Duotap shifters on a racing or gravel handlebar.

Instead of turning the twist shifter, you shift to a lighter gear with the left shifter and shift to a heavier gear with the right shifter (or vice versa).

Thanks to the powerful Sram hydraulic disc brakes and the 180 mm brake discs, you will always come to a safe stop.

Lightweight by Jongerius wheels

This bike comes standard with lightweight By Jongerius rims, which are slightly more aerodynamic than our extra-strong rims. These lightweight rims have an inner diameter of 23 mm and a maximum load capacity of 120 kg (rider weight + bike weight + any luggage). These rims are suitable for 40 or 45 mm wide tires.

You can also opt for the extra-strong By Jongerius rims with an inner diameter of 26 mm and a maximum load capacity of 200 kg (cyclist weight + bike weight + any luggage). These rims are suitable for 50, 55, or 57 mm wide tires.

As a gravel bike or build up as a randonneur

Use the Jongerius GravL as a pure gravel bike or build it up to a complete randonneur for a daily ride to work or a long-distance trip.

We have fitted the frame as standard with securely brazed mounting points for a luggage rack, mudguards, kickstand, lock, lights and at least 3 mounting points for water bottles or roof racks.

We developed the By Jongerius fork ourselves. It's made of aluminum, but features an extra-thick steel tapered steerer tube for added strength. The fork is equipped with mounting points for a Tubus Duo lowrider, but you can also choose to mount bottle cages, roof racks, or panniers on these mounting points.

The fork is Boost for extra strength and features 15mm thru axles. Because the fork is tapered (1.5 inches), we can use larger headset bearings, which ensure they remain intact even under heavy loads.

Conversion to pendix e-bike possible

You can have the Jongerius GravL Rohloff fitted with a Pendix e-drive mid-motor when you purchase it, or you can have it fitted later.

This powerful 65 Nm German motor has the advantage of eliminating extra cables for controls on your bike, and you can still ride smoothly with the motor running. This is unlike other pure e-bikes.

The Pendix e-bike set is available with both a 300 Wh and a 500 Wh battery for extended range. With the Pendix app, you can easily adjust the support to your preference and fine-tune the three standard support levels to your individual needs.

The Jongerius GravL Rohloff is available with a men's frame up to 70 cm or with a sporty unisex mixed frame up to 65 cm.

Because every Jongerius Handmade Bicycle is unique, you can choose the frame color of this premium bike yourself. We've compiled a selection of 46 beautiful colors for you to choose from. The Rohloff 14-speed hub is very maintenance-friendly and only requires an oil change once a year or once every 5,000 km (whichever comes first).
