After purchasing your Jongerius bicycle or e-bike, you'll naturally want to be able to park it anywhere with peace of mind. This is possible with ANWB bicycle insurance, which covers both the Netherlands and other countries. If you're an ANWB member, you'll receive a 5% premium discount.

If your bicycle is stolen, you have a 5% deductible and you choose the Theft and damage insurance In the event of damage, you will then pay a deductible of 50 euros per claim.

Note: Always use an ART-approved lock with a 2-star rating. In case of theft, two original keys are required. For e-bikes, an additional ART-approved 2-star lock and a Kiwa-approved GPS tracker are also required.

INSURED AGAINST THEFT OR THEFT & DAMAGE

If you purchase bicycle insurance through our website, it will be covered by ANWB Bicycle Insurance. You can choose from two coverage options:

Theft: You are insured against theft worldwide. If your bicycle is stolen, you get it for 3 years the purchase price minus 5% deductible paid out.  

Theft & damage: This coverage includes theft and damage. If your bicycle is damaged, for example, by a fall or collision, the damage to your bicycle will be covered. If your bicycle is completely destroyed by a collision or vandalism, we will provide a new one of the same value. 

The battery of your e-bike is also insured against theft or damage for the duration of your insurance.

Choice of additional options

For an additional charge, you can extend the insurance with the following options:

Roadside assistance bicycle:

Roadside assistance for a broken bicycle, on the road and at home.
*24/7 assistance from the ANWB Emergency Centre. We help you both at home and on the roadside.
*Can't resolve the problem right away? We'll take you to your destination or bike shop.
*Free roadside breakdown repairs (excluding parts)
*Roadside assistance throughout the Netherlands, including in your own hometown

Legal assistance:

Legal assistance in recovering damages.
With the supplementary Legal Assistance coverage, you receive expert legal assistance in recovering damages (including personal injury) suffered as a result of a traffic accident involving your bicycle. This coverage is valid in the Netherlands and Europe.

Accidents:

Compensation to yourself or your loved ones in case of permanent injury or death.
With supplementary Accident coverage, you are insured worldwide for a payment to yourself or your surviving dependents if you become permanently disabled or die as a result of a bicycle accident. In the event of death, the payment is €5,000, and in the event of permanent disability, the payment is up to €10,000.

DISCOUNT ON YOUR PREMIUM WITH A TRACEFY GPS TRACKER

Do you choose for your bicycle to be provided with a GPS tracker with a tracking subscription via Tracefy then you get 20% discount on the ANWB bicycle insurance.

This discount does not apply to e-bikes, For e-bikes, a GPS tracker from Tracefy is always mandatory when taking out insurance but you will not receive the premium discount.

The costs for this GPS tracker including installation are: € 129,-

The costs for the Tracefy subscription including the return service are: €69.95 per year

The most important conditions of the Bicycle insurance:

*1 ART** approved (fixed or chain/folding lock) lock is mandatory and in case of theft you can hand over 2 original keys
*If you choose a Kiwa-approved GPS tracker including a tracking subscription, you will receive a 20% discount on the insurance premium
*In case of theft you only pay 5% deductible for the first 3 years, in the 4th year you will receive 75% and in the 5th year 60%
*If you choose the theft + damage insurance, you pay a deductible of 50 euros per damage.
