Pinion Smartshift electric shifting on your Jongerius bicycle
The Jongerius TravL Pinion Bicycle of the Year 2023 is now available with the new Pinion Smart Shift as an option. With the Pinion Smart Shift, you shift electrically, and the bike is equipped with a small battery that provides the power. This battery only needs to be charged once every 20,000 shifts.
The Pinion Smart shift has 12 gears and a range of 600% and switching is done with the Pinion trigger shifter pushbutton which shifts very smoothly and surprisingly quickly.

Self-shifting or semi-automatic
With the Pinion Smartshift you can change gears super-fast using the trigger shifter, but the system can also shift down to a lighter (self-selected) gear if desired, so that you can easily cycle away from a standstill.
The Pinion Smartshift can also automatically shift to a cadence selected by you via the Pinion Smartshift App. The Smartshift gearbox then shifts when you are not pedalling for a smooth shifting experience.
Connecting the Pinion Smartshift app
A Pinion Smartshift app is available for Android and iPhone. This app allows you to control your preferred starting gear and whether you want to shift manually or (semi-)automatically.
You can also see the battery level of your Smartshift battery via the app if it has an external battery and you can perform software updates via the app.

TRP Hywire shifters for racing wheels
ALSO FOR GRAVEL BIKES WITH THE TRP HYWIRE DROPBAR SHIFTER
In combination with the TRP Hywire shifters for Pinion Smart shift, we can also equip a bicycle with drop bar or gravel handlebars with the Pinion Smart shift system.
Switching is done via buttons on the Trp shifters specially developed for Pinion Smartshift.
